Richard Remington, President / CTO

Richard Remington has over 25 years experience in software development including over 14 years experience architecting and developing Internet based applications. In addition to his current duties, he speaks at various Java and open source user groups about Mule ESB and other technologies.  He also teaches various programming courses (Java, Web Application Development, XML, Spring) around the country through his partnership with DevelopIntelligence.  He is a strategic thinker, finding ways to improve information systems, workflows, and business processes – especially across the enterprise.

Prior to forming Rich Software Inc, he was the product architect for a Java based XML messaging middleware product and a template based eCommerce webstore used as a turnkey starting point for customers.  Remington spent several years in the Telecommunications industry where his coordination of multiple organizations and integration with multiple systems was a key factor to success.

Earlier in his career, he was Director of Technology for Industry.net, which provided Internet access to very large technical information databases to the engineering community.  By bringing the content publishing services and development in-house, he reduced expenses by over two million dollars per year.

Rich holds a BS in Mathematical Sciences (with honors) from Oregon State University.

Consulting Team

RSI has several consultants on staff to help augment your software development needs. Two of the more senior staff members are highlighted below to give an idea of the high caliber skills we have available.  Our team comes entirely from our own internal network of colleagues, which ensures the following required traits: quality of workmanship, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to doing the right thing for the customer.

We are straight with our customers and tell them what they need to hear, rather than what we think they want to hear.  This fresh approach - being completely honest, up front and open with the customer - has proven to be one of the key differentiators between us and other consulting firms.
